If you cannot travel to the UK for the start of the first term, you can start your studies online from home.

In order to progress to your chosen degree aim, you will need to achieve the following minimum grades:
Academic: CGS C or 55% (with minimum CGS D or 40% in all modules)
English language: 60% (equivalent to IELTS 6.0, minimum 6.0 in writing and 5.5 in all other skills, although students will not be required to take an IELTS).
Students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Foundation Programme will have the option to apply for the Sri Lanka Medical Pathway at the University of Aberdeen.
There are up to 15 places available for the best students meeting minimum requirements during the Undergraduate Foundation Programme.
Progression is competitively awarded and is dependent on achieving:
• the required academic and English language grades
- English: 70% (equivalent of IELTS 7.0 with minimum 7.0 in speaking)
- Academic: minimum CGS B (equivalent 68% overall), with at least four modules at a minimum of CGS A (82%)
• performance in the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT)
• undertaking an interview assessing attributes and aptitudes appropriate to medicine
• undertake appropriate work experience and:
• submission of an Academic Reference from the ISC Life Sciences Lead.
Students who are not successful in progressing to medicine at this time will have the option of moving to a degree from the Life Sciences pathway (depending on their grades).
In order to progress to your chosen degree aim, you will need to achieve the following minimum grades:
Academic: 55% (with minimum 40% in all modules)
English language: 60%

English language – CGS grade B or 60% (equivalent to IELTS 6.5, minimum 6.0 in writing and a minimum of 5.5 in all other skills).*
*Students do not need to take an IELTS test however at the end of the course to progress.
